I think Michael Jackson is now the Pop version of Tupac. In other words, extremely overrated because of the media over-hyping everything. But I mean c’mon, ghet real, they’re just making money off his death. It’s pathetic.

The media can’t kill his legacy because his talent transcends the media. Overrrating Michael Jackson is blasphemy and punishable by sparring match with me.
They’re already comparing the hundreds of millions of dollars he has and would have made in life versus potential posthumous earnings. Pretty close…
edit: Feel Good Inc – His estate is estimated at $500 million I believe. His debt is said to be somewhere in the range of $30 million. I think he’s okay either way. As is his mother (who gets 40% of his estate), and his children (whom get 40%). The other 20% goes to charity (which 20% of an estimated $400+ million is insanity)

The point is while he was alive they called him the king so regardless he’ll forever be the king, had they called Biggy or Pac the king WHILE they were alive they’red be no question as to who was better

It’s like you took the words out of my mouth. Celebrities are over hyped after they die. For example when Heath Ledger died he was like described as the best actor ever and got an oscar. If he had been alive I would bet you any money that he wouldn’t have won .. not saying his performance wasn’t good but death does things to people.
MJ was great but he wasn’t god. The only difference with Tupac was thet now even people who know nothing about rap say he’s the best because thats the way the media says it. I watched the memorial thing today and the whole thing was useless, like any of what them celebrities were saying was true? The weirdest thing was I was watching the live feed on Fox and before it started they were calling him a freak and questioning what he actually did for the black community. The only thing that should have been played out of that whole thing was his daughters 40 second speech that had me in tears. The kids and the family are the only ones who should be mourning.

Michael Jackson is not overrated because everything being over-hyped is actually worth being over-hyped. Tupac is overrated because there are other rappers that are better then him (my opinion). Michael Jackson is not overrated because no one will ever be on his level so therefore you have to over-hype him.
