Michael Jackson

Have any other members of the Jackson family been disfellowshiped? Was Michael’s father, Joe Jackson ever counseled for the abusive behavior he subjected his children to? Was he ever disfellowshiped for beating his children? How do Jehovah’s Witnesses view Michael Jackson, the Jackson Family, and all the disfuctional issues they had in their family as Jehovah’s Witnesses?

I don’t really think about them. I do know Mike and Janet are in the music industry and that does not concern me.

    How??

God almighty had many sons in heaven according to Job 1:6…and the third part became evil…..According to Revelation 12 and were expelled….

  4. As far as I know, Micheal left the truth to increase his worldly desires and later was disfellowshipped. Years later.
And his mother sent a very distastful letter to the society disowning our society and beliefs.
As far as I know and I may be wrong but none of the family is in the truth or claims to be.

Disfellowshipping is a last resort and is usually used on the unrepentant that choose to stay on a course not fitting a christian.
    Disfellowshipping is a Biblical act.

I’m not sure that Michael was ever baptized as a JW. If not, he couldn’t be disfellowshipped.

As far as I know, one? member of the Jackson family Ever was actually baptised. From my understanding, Michael never was, and Clearly IS not one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

As for the father, from anything I’ve seen or read, it seems to be a clear matter of public record that his Dad had nothing to do with the Witnesses, nor did he even like Witnesses. Once again, this is based on what has been written, whether or not it’s accurate is up to anyone’s guess.

I don’t know if he ever got counseling, if he was in fact abusive, some accounts I’ve read say yes, some say no, I hope he got help.

In one book, it’s stated that the mother started talking with Witnesses while seperated from her husband, so clearly he wasn’t connected to Witnesses then.

Ultimately, I don’t know, ANY of these people. I am often asked, on here, and in real life about, Prince, Michael Jackson, the Williams sisters, etc. about whether they are Witnesses or not. I try to ALWAYS tell them, I don’t know ANY of these people. Look at them, if they are acting UnChristian, then chances are, they aren’t Witnesses. Jehovah only knows. If I make it through this system, then I will eventually have my answer.

Since the society puts no importance on celebrities being a witness or ex-witness, it doesn’t matter. You would need to ask someone from the congregation they were attached to. You notice that when a celebrity does become a witness, sometimes months later, some reporter ferrets it out rather than the Watchtower putting out a press release. Christendom makes it known not only when one walks through the door for the first time and invites them to the podium.

Yes I believe he was disfellowshipped. Joe Jackson? Michael’s father? He was never a witness. Where did you get the idea that he was? Michael’s mother is a Witness, and is in good standing, I believe. I don’t believe that any of the other children of that family were ever baptized, so no, none of them needed to be disfellowshipped since they never actually made the choice on their own to become witnesses.

At least this is how I understand it. I could be wrong, but it is what I have always “known” if anyone can know anything.

The disfunction of that family came from the father’s pushing those kids so hard to do what all they did. I don’t think that the mother had a lot of influence within the family, other than to teach them what she could. Fame is a dangerous thing, it can warp and distort people. I think all of that happened in spite of their mother and what good she tried to give to the kids rather than because of her.

Michael’s mother is a Witness in good standing … as is an older sister who was never involved in the music industry.

Joe, the father never was a Witness.

Prince is a member in good standing in a congregation not far from me.

    golly this is SOOOO OOOOOLD.

he was df’d over TWENTY YEARS AGO.
    the goofy girl was.
joe jackson might have been. ask the baptist church. he is & always was baptist.
i do not believe the baptists disfellowship members for any reason; they need as many paying customers as possible

we view him as someone who consciously chose to disobey Jehovah and his laws as written in the bible.

one of the whole clan is still a witness; she is pioneering in an undisclosed congregation.

fwiw, we do not treat ‘famous’ people any differently than we treat ‘normal’ people.

    hope that helps

As others have said I don’t know them personally.
But, from my little knowledge, it was the mom who is / was an active member.
    And, I don’t think Michael was Baptized…?..?..?
I’ve heard of the Williams’ sisters, also.
And Prince; he put Scriptures on the inside,
all around, on of his CD’s; that was how I found out.
And the Wayans the father came into the truth.
    But, as for the wife/mother and 10 children;
I don’t know about all of them.
Only the one I met, at my Hall in N. Hollywood, Calif.
And, it is not my place to put his/ her name out there.
We put no importance on such things.

To my knowledge Michel Jackson was never a baptised witness (meaning he was ‘officially’ never actually one of Jehovah’s Witnesses) only associated through family links, thus there would be no reason to disfellowhip him. He disassociated himself from our organisation many decades ago.

I don’t think his father was ever one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

It is not for our organisation to make any judgements concerning anyone outside, famous or not.

I don’t think they were regular practicing witnesses. If they were regular in attending christian meetings then they would have been counseled appropriately. If they were irregular there not looked at as Jehovah’s witnesses so they wouldn’t be disfellowshiped.

The answer to your question is….NO…Cathrine Jackson ( A stable and practicing JW) is still allowed to associate with her apostate children.

see what money can do for you?!

  17. Yeh this is issue is so old. Besides, Jackson Family does not represent the JWs in general. We can’t judge the organization based on a single member. We do not even boast that he was once a JW.

    So lets BEAT IT! =)
